Fundraising Efforts Completed (Continued)

MaSci Medics | MSHS Bordner Building | October 1, 2023

Last October 1, the Class of ‘98 hosted this year’s MaSci Medics Health Check at the MSHS Bordner Building.

Fifty-six former and current teachers and staff were provided with comprehensive medical screenings that included laboratory tests, ECGs, bone scans, x-rays, and other essential health checks.

The batch would like to acknowledge the following companies and individuals who made the event possible:

– Natrapharm, AstraZeneca, Manila Science High School Alumni Foundation (MSHSAFI/MaSci Foundation) Board of Trustees (BOT) Member Dr. Regina Bartolome (Batch 1980);

– Oplan Pagtutulak donors and Oplan Pagtutulak representatives Peter Paulo Pelayo and MaSci Foundation BOT Members Zorayda Zordilla and Lieza Danan, Ph.D. (Batch 1997); 

– Our very own Batch 1998 doctors; 

– Dr. Aileen A. Bautista and Dr. Jen Mary Chan Peñalosa for the meds;

– Dr. Ralph Dennis Vicente and Cathay Drug for the bone scan examination;

– LRI Therapharma and Servier for the meds and food pledges;

– Color One Digital Graphics for the prescription pads and the tarpaulin standees; and

– Manila Doctors Hospital Departments of OB-GYN and Ophthalmology for extending a helping hand with their own Resident Doctors in the pap smear and eye exams.

The event was not just an opportunity for us to express our gratitude and appreciation for our former teachers — it was also a chance for everyone to reconnect and catch up.
